High Performance Turbo Kits You Can Afford

Here are some cheap turbo kits to increase engine power for your ride. Aftermarket turbo kits are usually direct bolt on and are designed for stock engines with stock internals and fuel systems. These kits are specifically designed for cars that do not come equipped with a turbo and include everything necessary to make it work safely and reliably.

Cheap Turbo Kits Frequently Asked Questions

  1. i just got a 89 nissan 300zx turbo v6 could anyone help me find rebuild kits and other cheap parts?

i need to find cheap parts for it i want to completely rebuild it im gonna put in new rings an seals new cam and a better turbo bigger lifters and new valves i just dont know were to start or a good place to order parts so if anybody could help that would be great

ANSWER: (John Paul, you again are showing your lack of knowledge on Z31's. I suggest you don't answer these types of questions anymore. The misinformation you spread is terrible and damaging to the owners. Richard, first you will want to start reading a few Z31 specific sites that I will post below. Our cars have huge potential. Parts are a little harder to come by than most other sports cars but when its all over you will have a true one of a kind car as almost everyone's setup is different.. For a basic rebuild, tear the engine down and verify what size bearings and rings you need. Spend the money on OEM Nissan bearings and rings. Cleavite is a good alternative as well. An Advance Auto full engine gasket kit is fine with exception of the head gaskets. Go ahead and get a set of OEM Nissan head gaskets. You will thank yourself for that later. Ferrea sells over sized valves for our engines. There are no oversized lifters but you will need new ones to go with new cams. OEM is fine as is Cleavite. For Cams, Schnieder and Isky have nice grinds available to us for decent prices. Schnieder has excellent 110lb double valve springs available for $100. A must for revving over 6K RPM. You will want to add an intercooler. There is a hard to find Greddy IC kit for 1200 bucks. I personally would just buy a nice IC core and some piping. That's what I did with mine. Cost me 400 bucks total. Certified Muffler offers a nice 3in turbo back exhaust system for our cars. Either with a hi-flow cat or catless. I'd recommend investing in NIStune or finding someone selling a JWT 4-BAR kit. A larger turbo is going to demand more fuel. The stock fuel system is not good for much above 12psi on the stock turbo. Another good upgrade would be a gutted upper plenum. You can find these on ebay for 150-400 dollars. You can pair that up with a 240SX 60mm throttlebody for nice results. Realistically with Cams, valves, springs, IC, gutted plenum, larger turbo and 3in turbo back with good tuning you can achieve over 400whp on the stock bottom end. You can use forged connecting rods and pistons for the 300ZX Twinturbo in our engines. They fit just fine. With forged internals you can push these engines to the limits of 600+ hp but that will require porting and polishing of the heads. But first I recommend you read as much as you can on these sites. Sign up read through them, ask questions and look at other peoples builds. Also check the classifieds on the sites. Lots of good parts for sale for cheap. Feel free to send me a message and I'll share pictures and pointers from my build with you. Good luck with it!)

  2. How much does a turbo kit cost?

I own a 97 toyota celica st and i was wondering how much it would cost to install a turbo. Im not looking for the 2000 dollar ones, but one thats somewhat cheap (less than 1k). What kind of stuff has to be adjusted to make the turbo work properly? approximately how much would it cost with parts and labor? any suggestions and information is greatly appreciated. thanks

ANSWER: (Your best bet is going to require a lot of creativity. Your project is possible on the budget you're looking at, but you won't be able to buy a one-and-done kit. I did this successfully for $350 on my first car when I was 16, and I learned a lot. A used Garrett journal-bearing turbo with acceptable shaft play is a start (I'd suggest finding someone who knows turbochargers to evaluate the condition of a used turbo). The T3 and T25 (a smaller variant of the T3) were used on myriad cars (original Saab 900 and 9000, many Volvos, and other cars from the mid 1980s to late 1990s). I've seen them as cheap as $50 for examples that were good enough to bolt right up. Furthermore, the rectangular ("Garrett") flange is the most common found on aftermarket exhaust manifolds, which raises a new point, the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold and downpipe will likely be the most expensive and/or challenging part to obtain or fabricate. I believe your car has the 5S-FE corporate engine, which was super common (Camrys, Celicas and more had it) meaning you can probably find a cheap exhaust manifold on eBay. You'll also need: A recirculating valve ("blow-off" valve, used Bosch ones from Audi A4/S4/A6 turbo, Porsche 993/996 Turbo are easy to mount and effective, but NOT from Saab or 1980s Porsche). An intercooler. This isn't absolutely necessary, but on a high-compression engine like yours you'll really want it. Look for used ones pulled from a junk Porsche 944 Turbo (excellent), Saab 9000 Turbo (ok), Mitsubishi Starion (excellent) and so on. Try to avoid side- or top-mounted intercoolers, as they tend not to clear the hood on cars not designed for it and offer (generally) inferior performance. Manufacturers mount them on top of the engine for convenience reasons. Hard pipes and rubber couplers for charged-air plumbing. Buy a couple of those polished aluminum intake kits for an Integra on eBay and maybe a few extra bends plus some rubber couplers from TurboHoses.com or equivalent. Vacuum Lines. Replace all of them and get one-way check valves for the HVAC system, fuel evaporation system and crankcase ventilation. Adjustable, rising-rate fuel pressure regulator. You're doing this cheap, so changing injectors and computer programming are above and beyond. The adjustable fuel pressure regulator allows you to increase fuel across the injectors, forcing more fuel through them under boost. Oil and coolant lines for the turbocharger. This is the next-most tricky after the exhaust manifold. You'll need to find a place to tap for pressurized oil (maybe an oil pressure sensor port on the head you could branch off of) and then dump back into oil pan. I would suggest a wideband oxygen sensor, but if you can't afford it, at least replace the factory one with new and place a gauge into it so you can get at least a basic idea of the mixture situation in your engine. You'll have some other issues to address if you have a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor rather than a hot-wire or "barn-door" type sensor for measuring air on your engine. Barn-door and hot-wire types will work fine, but a MAP sensor will likely be unable to register positive pressure at the manifold; it is only intended to read vacuum. You can get MAP sensors that are able to register the positive pressure, but this is something you'll have to research independently ONLY IF you have a MAP sensor. Finally, don't worry about a boost controller. You won't be able to run much more than 7 or 8 pounds of boost at best because you have high compression and will lack sophisticated fuel management, and the wastegate found on most Garrett turbochargers can be adjusted up to this pressure. A boost controller will only tempt you to turn up the boost and destroy your engine, which would happen very quickly. You could also burn up your clutch and blow your transmission if you have an automatic. In fact, if you have an automatic, you shouldn't even consider this project. Also remember, there's a decent chance you could blow your headgasket, especially if you're reckless and impatient while setting up the fuel and boost levels. You could also just sell your car and buy one with a turbo from the factory. Way easier, more reliable and more room for power.)

  3. Turbo Kits for 1995 Nissan 300zx?

Hello, I'm interested in buying a turbo kit for my 300zx, I would just like to get some advice from people with 300zx's. would a universal turbo work fine? I understand that there is no space since the engine is big and takes up almost all the space in the engine bay. Also, should i just get a good turbo for $3,000 or a cheap one for $1,000? What about rebuilt turbos?...would I have to change other stuff like pistons, maybe crankshaft, valves etc. any information or advice would be helpfiul, just make sure it relates to turbo kits for 300zx lol thanks a bunch guys

ANSWER: (well i can tell u right now. get what you pay for haha u want a cheap one then ur gonna get a cheap one. if i were to buy them i would go for just buying a new and good one. that way u knw that ur not gonna have a cheap one that could potentially be garbage power or go out 10000miles down the road haha. is your nissan already turboed? if not ur gonna have to do ALOT of swapping from ecu to engine harness to pretty much everything. u wouldnt have to change any of that stuff unless u were gonna go for more boost and power. ur stock engine with all stock internals can handle up to 12 to 13 psi so u wouldnt need to switch them (of course thats assuming its a tt already). if you want more information about things there is a huge forum of guys just talkin about pure 300zx stuff. its called www.twinturbo.net they answer pretty much everything. if you need more sites on turbo kits go to www.conceptzperformance.com or www.z1motorsports.com thats where i do all my shopping. Good Luck to you!!)

  4. What turbo would work effectively for a 1992 Honda Civic CX?

What motor does the 1992 Honda Civic CX have? I know it is pushing roughly 80ish horse power. Also how much projected horse power would 8lbs of boost to the stock motor give? Will this decrease the life of the motor (140k) and fuel economy? These are CHEAP turbos that are found a Google Search of: "d16 turbo kit" http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=TRB-KIT-T04E-D16-DP-BC http://store.max-redline.com/servlet/-strse-92/DetailFor those comments below. appealing sexually depends on preference. Also. If the people were educated...this car is about 2000 lbs. It's POWER to weight ratio.

ANSWER: (theres a reason why the first one is only 400...and i doubt its because someone did a lot of research and testing on a scrapyard turbo and decided to market it. second one is the same thing just plus an intercooler...its junk and is going to fuck up your engine. your car is a stick right? if not, i wouldnt even bother with a turbo: its more hassle than its worth and you wont get good gains.if it is a stick, i still wouldnt go with a turbo witht hat engine.if you want the least amount of work to do and the cheapest thing to do, get a d16z6 or y8 with vitara pistons and ARP studs and get a reputeable turbo kit for it (will cost you about 3k+ for a turbo kit that wont shattetr on its first spool).8 pounds of boost all depends on which turbo you get. a t4 with 8 pounds is a hell of a lot more than a t28 (if you're looking for something to run around town with, id suggest either a t25 or a t28) with 8.if you get a good tune it should not effect the life of your motor.yes it will lower your MPG when its engaging. mmore HP=more fuel used=less MPG.if you're looking for a decent kit then try:greddyedelbrockfull racefew others)

  5. Hondata vs HKS turbo kit?

I want to turbo my crx, its stock right now other then my intake. My friends dad can install it but I jest need the parts. He said I can run 6psi of boost with stock internals. Whats better for my crx....HKS turbo kit (used) untuned. Orrrrrr cheap ebay kit with tuned hondata ecu and dsm injecotrs??

ANSWER: (NEITHER. Boost isn't cheap. You need a good kit AND tuning. If you try and run a boosted car without proper tuning, you will without a doubt destroy your motor. On the flip side, I've literally seen people install the ebay turbo kit and have the junk made-in-china turbos fall apart on the dyno. Can be really dangerous for the car.)

  6. What is the best web site for Turbo kit?

i have a 1989 Cavalier z24 with a 2.8L and want to put about an 8 pound boost turbo on the car but can not find anyone that has a kit for one. cheaper is better but want something that will not fall apart at high rpm's.The motor is a v6 and don't want a I4!

ANSWER: (D&W have the best range,.)

  7. What fails on the cheap ebay turbo kits?

I've heard some people say that engines can get overboosted due to a crappy ebay turbo kit, how does that happen? does a BOV or wastegate malfunction and the neverending cycle occurs?so worst case senario is that your turbo fails and you get a new brand name one?

ANSWER: (-Manifold cracks-Turbo bearing fails-Turbo has faulty seals-boost creep due to crappy bov And the list continues...)

  8. Where is the cheapest place i can get an AVO Bolt-on Turbo Kit with BOV for a 2008 impreza 2.5i?

2008 impreza 2.5i On avo's website/catalog it is 3650 dollars i think. Where can i get it cheaper. i want an exact price and link to the product. thanks

ANSWER: (Rallitek is one of the only AVO distributors I know of in the US. Try them. They are great people to talk to so even if they show the same price on their site, they may cut you a deal. I just don't get spending close to $4000 to almost get WRX power but be stressing your engine much harder than a WRX does.)

  9. where can i find a good quality Turbo kit for a really cheap price for An Acura Integra Ls 01 two door. Thanks?

Also, what would the price be, and is a turbo better than a supercharger?

ANSWER: (First off cheap and reliable DO NOT mix with turbo kits. The LEAST you will spend is about $3,000 installed. http://www.turbo-kits.com/integra_turbo_kits.html If you think you can get them cheaper, then I will GUARANTEE that the "kit" will not be complete, you will have to fabricate parts, or you will spend another $2,000 in parts making it work.)

  10. Two questions about Turbo mods on a 2010 hyundai gensis?

I am about to purchase an hks blow off valve kit and dont trust myself to install it...how much would it cost to get this professionally done? also is a turbo upgrade on the gensis cheaper than a bolt on turbo kit? how much would that cost?

ANSWER: (Not sure which Genny you're talking about but the 2.0T is HIGHLY tunable "GReddy Performance Parts has paired up with Hyundai to begin manufacturing new products for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe that has been raising eyebrows. Expect the new high performance parts to be launched at the 2009 SEMA Show on the GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe. The production tuning kit will include all the parts needed for the Hyundai Genesis 2.0T engine. The GReddy Total Tune-Up package will be a blend of performance, handling, and braking improvements. Hyundai plans to market the car as a reliable street performance vehicle with a powerful driving experience. At first they plan to increase the numbers to 350 hp and 320 ft lbs of torque, but after the SEMA Show further plans are to push nearly 500 horsepower."http://fancytuning.com/2009/10/greddy-hy… The V6 will also has tuning potential but the 4 cyl has a good head start. While it's true that doing it yourself will void the warranty Hyundai did have the tuner crowd in mind when making the Genesis. You may want to wait until more aftermarket stuff, like GReddy, comes out so you could have more stuff to choose from. Warranty issues may not come into play if you get stuff sponsored by Hyundai like GReddy.)

  11. Where can I find a cheap turbo kit for a 2007 V6 Mustang?

ANSWER: (I think you meant inexpensive, not cheap.Whatever you call it,they don't exist. An inexpensive aftermarket turbo kit from Procharger or Paxton will run you a minimum of $4,000.00.Dont go cheap! You get what you pay for when you buy performance parts, especially high dollar parts like turbo kits.If you can install it yourself you'll save another $2,000.00,if not, kick,in another $2,000.00.If you want to go fast it's going to cost ALOT of $$.Do it right, buy quality parts and install them correctly. It'll save you a ton of shit down the road.)

  12. what is the cheapest supercharger out there for a 94-98 mustang v6?

and whats the cheapest turbo kit i still want it to be nice no junk but it doesnt have to be the best

ANSWER: (well the junk yard is the place to find a 94 Thunderbird Supercoupe with supercharger for your 3.8 v6..)

  13. Where can I find a aftermarket turbo kit for a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL?

The dealer told me that the VTR's twin turbos had some problems so I got the SL instead but I'd still like the turbo. GReddy had a set but its discontinued, and judging by the price of a kit for an eclipse it would be between 2000-4000$. I'd like to find a good one much cheaper. Thanks

ANSWER: (Well the SL has the 10:1 compression compared to the 8:1 that the vr4 has, it also has smaller injectors and is missing parts like no Inter coolers or piping etc. Most people who turbocharge their SL to the TT conversion making it a front wheel drive twin turbo. the higher compression makes it a bit snappier but you cant run as much boost. you have to swap out water housing and oil pan and well I will include a link with the list. other options are modifying parts you have and buying aftermarket headers and turbos and a lot of custom fabrication. I would personally talk to the people at dynamic racing (http://www.dynamicracing.com/customer/home.php) 3sx (3sx.com) or IPS motor sports (www.ipsmotorsports.net) and they all are very knowledgeable and can get you what you need. There is a ton of information about the conversion and other car info at www.3si.org especially this thread (http://www.3si.org/forum/f53/tt-conversion-link-thread-381471/) hope this helps)

  14. where can i find decent turbo kits for a cheaper or decent kinda price ?

i have a 1996 honda civic ev coupe

  15. I want to turbo my 2006 Eclipse gs 4 cylinder?

First I love the car, I know everyones going to say should have got a cheaper evo or wrx but I didnt want those I got the car I wanted BUT I cant find a turbo kit thats under $3500. Does anyone know of a cheaper turbo kit out there. I dont know if it would work or not, and I could be wrong but are the 06 Eclipse engine and the Srt-4 engine close to the same? Could I use a turbo system off a srt-4 and use it on my eclipse. I dont know just want a turbo on my eclipse and cant get any answers so I thought id try on here, Thanks 4 ur time.

ANSWER: (they make plenty of turbo kits for those)

  16. is there any other turbo kit for the e46 m3 other than the HPF?

I mean really i will not spend 20k for a turbo kit, thats more than i paid for the car. I want to know if there are any other turbo kits for the m3 that are legit and cheaper than the HPF.to answer your question, more hp!!!

ANSWER: (well why to u want a turbo? You can get more horsepower a a lot of other ways. i want to know why you want a turbo so badly. is it the sound or do you want 500hp or more. is you want that kind of horsepower figures you should be worried about spending 40k (car +turbo) most cars with over 500hp cost more than 40k.)

  17. Bmw turbo help?!?!?!?

i have a bmw e34 1992 525i. i want to turbocharge it but they dont make too many full turbo kits for cheap for it. i found a nice one for the e36 325i. i was wondering that since they have the same engine(m50b25) if it would be possible to install it onto my car. please help. no rush im still saving money

ANSWER: (The turbo is worth more than the car. Why do you want to do that?Kenny Hammad)

  18. Stock 1997 z28 camaro turbo?

I currently have a stock 1997 z28 camaro LT1 350 6 speed. I want to find a turbo/twin turbo set up for it. I found some twin turbo kits on ebay for cheap but I just want to know what this motor can handle stock, and also if it can handle turbo set up what are some good reliable ones that wont cost alot? I also noticed the ones on ebay only are good for 20k miles, I want something that will last longer than that.

ANSWER: (Although twin turbos sounds like an awesome idea for your LT-1, you need to consider better flowing heads to utilize the boost. If you aren't, then stick with the single turbo and don't invest in something that won't pay off. Check with the turbo websites for the diameter of the one best suited for your LT motor.Off brand turbos are a crap shoot, but no matter what type you use, 2 things are important for turbo life - high quality lubrication & performing a cool down period before shutting the engine off. Nothing fries a turbo faster than cheap oil and shutting down a hot turbo which cooks the oil in the bearings.Don't forget to do your homework on intercoolers, exhaust manifolds and ducting. Snatch up a few sbc mags at your local Wally World and do a little research. Also, join a LT-1 online forum so you don't waste time doing what has already been done. There's quite a few of them out there.)

  19. Will any turbo fit on my car?

I have a 93 del sol with a b16a2 swap. i am looking to piece together a turbo kit for cheap and was wondering if i could take the turbo off of any car like an old saab and just bolt it on to a turbo manifold made for my car? i know i will need the piping, front mount etc but i just want to know if any turbo will bolt right on

ANSWER: (you might want to get it from the 95-99 eclipse...since its a t25 and cheap to get....and then when you build the motor up more and get better add ons....you could always up it to a t03/t4....)

  20. turbo kit for a commodore?

hey, im looking for a cheap turbo kit for a v6 vt 3.8 commodore any sugestions on a cheap turbo kit?? or where i can find 1. thnxs

ANSWER: (I am not going to go on but you need another 5000.00 for mods if you turbocharge or you will have no engine or car.)

  21. Cheap 08 civic turbo?

Where can i get an affordable turbo kit for my 08 civic si i have maybe a grand or two to work with but i want quality parts. If there is not one out there for the money what parts should i get next that would add performance in this price range. I already have i/h/e and short shifter

ANSWER: (OK, first off cheap and reliable do not go together with turbo systems. A quality kit for your car that will not give you problems is between $3,500-$4,500 period. There is just no way around it.)

  22. does anyone know where to find a cheap and reliable turbo kit?

or how to make one for cheap for a 1999 subaru legacy GT? i want to turbo my car BADLY but i can't find an actual kit for it. i can find the forged pistons and connecting rods and that kind of stuff though, just not the turbo kit.

ANSWER: (engine swap is expensive. turbo installation will be also very costly, including shop time and if you have to use a generic/universal turbine and custom fabrication of the plumbing/piping count on all in $5000-7000 if forced induction is out of the budget, and if you can build out the engine (bottom end & heads - you have one other option, that is very reasonable price - nitrous kit.nitrous oxide can provide the same degree of power enhancement as forced induction and it causes NO greater strain or heat generation than does a turbo or supercharger (at equivalent power levels)http://www.andysautosport.com/subaru/1995_1999_legacy/performance/nitrous_oxide/ Anyway do some research on nitrous, lots of installations around and it is a popular addition and a worthwhile one if the engine is properly prepared. regards)

  23. Are those cheap $500-$800 turbo kits on E-bay, junk?

I want to turbo my 93 nissan 240sx, nothing hardcore. I know what I need to make the setup work but I'm wondering if the cheap kit will screw me. I know my other option is to save for a long time and by a brand name expensive kit, $1900-$2800.

ANSWER: (Most of the time those turbo kits on ebay really only come with a random assortment of bent tubing, a knock-off turbo, and some silicone couplers. They are missing A LOT of parts. One thing to keep in mind is to never try skimp on the turbo itself, because that is the heart of the whole operation. If you have some decent fabrication skills, and you know what parts are missing. you could probably make it work. Instead of turbocharging your current motor, have you considered swapping in an engine that is already turbocharged? The sr20det is a turbocharged engine that was offered in Japan in the 240sx, and is a relatively easy swap to perform, although it might end up costing more that an expensive turbo kit for your current engine, which I'm assuming is a ka24de. Just remember that if you cheap out on a turbo kit now, it will end up costing you more down the road, so your best bet is to either save up for a legitimate turbo kit, or save up for a faster car.)

  24. Where can I get a full turbo kit for a 2006 jeep wrangler rubicon?

I want to put a turbo in my 06 rubicon. But im not sure where to get it i can't find very many site on the internet that sells them and the 1 i did find was $5,000. so does any body know any good or cheap places?

ANSWER: (i would look into a supercharger, turbos have lag, they are better suited for high rpm performance(given that it is powered by exhaust gases). With a jeep you would benefit more from an increase in horsepower and torque throughout the whole rpm range, with your drop off coming on the higher rpm range.)

  25. Turbo Kit for 1995 Dodge Neon?

I am wanting to get a cheap turbo kit for a Neon(under 10 lbs of boost). Not sure where i could get one for under $1000. Any help would be appreciated.

ANSWER: (Check out Howell Automotive or Hahn Racecraft Both are known for being top notch in the neon tuning world. I put the hahn racecraft stage 2 kit on my '98 R/T project and it works phenominal - Chris T. Or you could fabricate your own setup , with 1000 dollars it can be done. But your going to have to go on to carforum websites and try to find deals on parts. With a thousand dollars it would be smarter to use a nitrous kit. You can buy a brand new wet kit for $400 dollars and spend the rest on upgrades like a bottleheater, opener, downtube, spark plugs and purge kit.Unless you have experience with working on cars that are turbo and tuning $1000 is not enough.)

  26. turbo kits?

is an ebay turbo kit safe to boost at 5psi....am not looking for crazy power but i do want a little bit more power....have anyone ever had success with a ebay turbo kit.... i have a d16 and my boi told me its better to go with a turbo kit cuz its cheaper.....i dont want to go B series because i park on public street and i know what happen to B series on public streets(might have nightmares if it getting stolen lol) so no B series comment....

ANSWER: (If your gonna buy a kit off ebay try to bid on a name brand kit like a greddy kit, they come with everything you need to complete your set up including the ecu with a base tune so you can safely drive your car after the install. The only thing you might want is a intercooler but it isn't absolutely necessary because you're running low boost with the stock kit but might need it later when you craving more power and want to up the boost later. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Greddy-TD04-Turbo-Kit-Honda-Civic-Ex-92-95-Emanage-NR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em14Q2el1318QQhashZitem170243684165QQitemZ170243684165 The cheaper kits with bigger turbos and intercoolers with fancey "looking" parts usually aren't good quality and are China made parts most people recommend staying away from these "kits". The quality is either a hit or miss many people claim of cracked manifolds, turbo compressor blades exploding, wastegates sticking and causing over boost conditions. But I have a friend that used a china made cheap turbo for about 20,000 miles on a LS with no problems so he is someone with good experiance with chinese parts. Even though we had a positive outcome with the turbo I still wouldn't recomend biding on a cheap no name brand kit. Good luck)

  27. is there a turbo for this prelude motor?

ANSWER: (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&from=R40&satitle=h23+turbo+kit&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&fmmk=&fmmd=&fylo=&fyhi=&mppfqy=h23+turbo+kit&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=34%26fsoo%3D2&fgtp= But just so you know it's not really gonna last that long, those eBay turbo kits do more bad than good and in the end you'll probably end up with a blown motor, so be careful with it, heard a lot of bad experiences with the eBay kits, no wonder they are so cheap.)

  29. What kind of piston , crank, and rods should I used for d16y8 using turbo?

And should i buy a cheap ass turbo kit from ebay? But here is the thing,my civic has a bad trans. Something is wrong with the shifter it make noises. i can't really go fast with the bad trans. Should i buy a new one or rebuilt the old one.

ANSWER: (those cheap kits on ebay are made in china and are worthless... better to good used stuff...just put in a new cartridge..)

  30. Should I get a cheap turbo kit off of eBay or get a high quality cat-back exhaust and cold air intake?

ANSWER: (It doesn't make sense to introduce a turbo without first addressing your intake / exaust situation. I think a cat-back and a good cold air intake should take priority. The engine has to be able to breathe to take full advantage of a turbo.)
