   will it be ok to add a garrett turbo with the rest of a ebay turbo kit (without ebay turbo) on a 04 rx8 manumatic .
   

   ANSWER: (Yes you can. Go for it. Just so you know those parts you bought off ebay are all probably china parts that will fail after 20,000 miles or less. Depending on the size of that turbo your rotary is going to blow to little triangle pieces and no one in america really knows how to rebuilt one to endure high amounts of forced induction.Just saying....being a dick so you don't ruin your car.)

3. What car should i get when I become 16?

   Im currently 14 and turn 16 in 1 1/2 years. Here are my choices. I was thinking of a new model mazda rx8 r3 for 35k. A used mazda rx-7 twin turbo with veilside fortune body kit added on for 20-30k( Keep in mind, that car is about 12k with the body kit i want costing an extra 17k). A 94-97 supra for 20-30k. A new model Camaro ss for 20-30k. Or a 2005 dodge neon srt-4 for around 10k. Basically I want a fast loud 2 door that turns heads and isnt too expensive. I know newer cars have increased insurance prices, so something good from 1990-2000 would be nice with a good body kit added on. What should i get?rrb, how do i "Drive with more skill" when i dont even have a car?

So here's a lesson from Professor Akagis White Comet, owner of a heavily self-modified 1987 RX-7 GXL, now with a 20B-REW under the hood.Manual>Automatic no matter what you do to itForced induction will shred the automatic to bits at anything over 5psi. In simple terms, it can't handle the torque of a turbo like the FC and FD can. And even then, they just barely could handle it. You're better off with a manual transmission, period.Any intake kit will be discarded with forced induction because everything between the exhaust manifold and throttle body will be replaced. The stock SE3P exhaust is fine, but if you insist on an upgrade, go with Racing Beat. Your lack of ricer noise tickets will thank you.)

6. How Long for turbo uninstall ?

   I have a 06' Mazda RX8 Im having the turbo kit uninstalled on and its around $95/hr so I was wondering how long it usually takes shops ? Im hoping to keep this around the $1000 mark, under if Im lucky. It is the Esmeril Racing turbo kit, and I have boost, AFR, Oil Pres, Oil Temp, Water gauges to have uninstalled as well. Im getting a new car soon and need to go back stock and sell everything. Just looking for estimates, knowing my luck its going to take 3 or 4 days haha.

   I'm probably going to be getting a 2004-2006 RX8, and I am definitely looking at adding some performance tuning. I was thinking about a turbo, but I can't seem to find any good reviews online. I have seen some of the GReddy turbos and Esmil kits that make around 300 WHP. I am looking for something that is good, but not too crazy (powerful) and expensive. Also, would a turbo be enough, or what else would I have to do in order to make the car run well? Basically, what would I have to install with the turbo? 10. Turbo Timer ? Worth it?

    Is a turbo timer really worth it? Running the esmeril racing turbo kit on my rx8. Im thinking of just sitting in my car and letting it cool for about a minute or so instead. I heard it can cause problems with the immobalizer?

    ANSWER: (everyone answering this question before me is retarted. there isnt much difference between the actual engine other then the rx7 has a turbo and the rx8 is NA and makes a little more hp but loses some torque. you can add turbos to either engine to get some more power or get a 3 rotor kit, or if you want a real race engine you can get a 4 rotor kit and SINGLE turbo it which makes much more power and is more reliable then quad turbos on this engine. anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid.)

15. Mazda Rx8 Starting Mods.?

    I just bought a used 2006 Rx8 6 speed AUTO.i didn't get the manual for a couple of reasons but thats not the point. I was wondering what mods i could start off with right now riding fully stock performance becuase i want to increase the performance and keep the exterior stock. a turbo kit is too much right now. Limit around 1.5k. I was thinking a AEM cold intake, and a greddy sp2 exahust. but i also heard that's a waste because only adds a little hp gain. please gimme so advice.
    

    ANSWER: (I see you've done your research. Yes, Mazda made very efficient intakes and exhausts for their RX8's. Dyno tests have proven that aftermarket intakes and exhausts for the RX8 generally give you about 3 to 5 HP increases each. Probably the best bang for your buck is the Cobb Accessport Flash Tuner. "Chips" are useless for this car, instead just reflash the PCM/ECU with better maps.     ANSWER: (aftermarket turbo + normal factory automatic transmission = dead carIf you want to go faster, swap to a manual transmission, then add performance parts. A stock automatic simply will rip itself apart, unless it is a VERY heavy-duty gearbox, like a GM turbo 350/400.If you want a turbocharged rotary, get a RX7, either a FC or a FD. There's a big aftermarket for it and you won't risk voiding the warranty, being displeased with the results or ruining the car like you would with turboing a RX8.)

    ANSWER: (The Rx-8 has a very high compression ratio for boosted applications. On top of that the computer is hard to crack. You can boost cars with high compression but ultimately the renesis's so called advantage in economy and emissions are its biggest road block to producing power. Side ported exhaust...The old Rx-7's have WAAAY more potential in power production than the renesis. On top of that the all the seals are optimized for boost in the 13B-REW. The side ported exhaust reduces port overlap, thus improving emmisions and economy. But in a performance engine you want the biggest ports possible without losing intake/exhaust velocity. In a Rotary, the exhaust port can be REALLY BIG. The largest port possible on a rotary is called a peripheral port. It seals up the side port and bores a huge hole through the end of the rotor housing. ALL Rx-7's (and all rotary cars before it) came from the factory with a peripheral ported exhaust. In order to match the Rx-7's turbo loving exhaust ports, you would have to tear the engine down and send it out to get the exhaust ported. Hands down a turbo Rx-7 (or any Rx-7 for that matter) has a huge advantage over the Rx-8.On top of that the Rx-7 has a more boost friendly compression ratio making for easier tuning. I love the new Rx-8s but they just arent quite filling the Rx-7's shoes. And any Rx-8 owner reading this, that thinks otherwise.... You really, seriously need to just ride in a 3rd generation Rx-7. Night and Day, sorry guys but I am telling it how it is, not trying to hate on you.Any 93-95 Rx-7 will get you what you are looking for.)

    ANSWER: (It is a matter of how much boost do you want.There is a point at which a bigger turbo charger would be needed. You need to compute the amount of boost you want, then figure out how many CFM it takes to achieve that boost.A 1600 non- rotary engine needs about 300 cfm at normal atmosphere (no boost) when running at 7,000 rpm. So if I want to run 15 psi boost, I would need a turbo charger that can produce 600 cfm. So i would look for a 700 cfm turbo.So I am not sure, while I can compute it for a cylinder engine a rotary is beyond my knowledge.)

    ANSWER: (yes you can get all turbo parts for less than a 1k assuming you will install it by yourself but...... what about the ecu?you cant make it turbo without the proper ecu and thats will cost you some hundreds more no spend...... no gain ! !)

    ANSWER: (A mid-sized turbo is just fine for the RX8 as you can't run really high boost levels anyway. The Renesis runs 10:1 compression so you should stay away from high boost levels unless you're VERY good at tuning and don't care if you severely shorten the motor's life.Very good gains can be made with only 6 - 8 PSI boost. What you do need is a turbo that can flow high volumes of air as opposed to high pressure. Due to the nature of the rotary and its extended RPM range many turbo's hit their peak flow at around 7000 rpm whereas the tertiary ports don't even open until 7200, and the motor runs to over 9000. Sourcing a turbo that can maintain good air volumes into those rpm ranges are difficult to find.)

    i have the HKS RACING Suction and the greddy turbo kit comes with an airnx kit. i dont know if i have to change it or can i keep my HKS intake. i have the HKS legamax exhaust if that makes a difference.

    ANSWER: (You know it is a rotary engine right? The only make and model of car currently being produced with such an engine. They can rotate at incredible speeds but parts are going to be much more expensive than typical piston driven engines. Not many people know how to work on them.Greddy is one of the few companies that makes turbos for these cars. I would make sure that your factory warranty is already expired before I install one as it will void the warranty. A warranty on a car like this could be a huge money saver.)
