Greddy Turbo Kits Information
Greddy turbo kits are amongst the easiest to install and they are designed specifically for drivability, reliability and performance. Greddy turbo kits are known worldwide for their quality and some kits are CARB approved, meaning that you don't have to worry about passing emissions test.
Most Greddy turbo kits are complete bolt-on kits designed for stock engines and come with all the parts necessary to install them. Detailed instructions are included for you to install the turbo kit. Dyno tuning is not required but recommended after install for maximum power and efficiency. Greddy also recommends that synthetic engine oil be used for their turbochargers.

Im about to twin turbo my Z what should I replace to handle the added power?
I've got a 2006 Nissan 350Z, I'm about to buy a Greddy Twin Turbo kit for it. What should I replace/upgrade to handle the extra power that the turbo adds?
ANSWER: (Because the 350z has high compression pistons and combustion chambers you may need to completely rebuild the motor before turbos go on. Second cooling system upgrades bigger oil cooler and radiator. Plastic composite drive shaft needs to be replaced too. Bigger wheels tires and large brakes so you can control the power and stop. Hood with extra vents cut into it so heat can be removed from the engine compartment. Several 350 turbocharged car I have worked on needed special oil pans for turbo oil return tubes. Automatic trans cars do not turbocharge very well trans gets in the way heat issues. Any A/C hoses along the left side exhaust manifolds need to be insulated. You start with a kit then you have to re-engineer the entire car. Good Luck)

Where can i buy a full GReddy turbo kit for a 2003 Honda Accord?
I have a 2003 2 door honda accord ex v6. I'm interested in purchasing a GReddy turbo kit but i can't find a full turbo kit for my car. Is there a website or shop that i could go to to buy one? because im not able to find one and i really want one. so yea please and thank you.if there are any websites that only sell performance parts for my car it would be nice if you could add that information as well.and i specifically want a GReddy turbo kit. so dont give me websites that dont sell those turbo kits for my car. im not trying to waste my time and patience
ANSWER: (http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/2003_2007_accord/ Go here ist Andys auto sports, i alredy have it set up to pull up all parts for your car just scroll down to the performance section and and go to turbos, and then click greddy and wah lah. Hope this helped)

evo 9 mr ams gt42r turbo kit or 2008 350z with greddy twin turbo kit?
I was wondering because my brother is driving the 350z with the greddy twin turbo and I want to know if the evo 9 mr is faster if I get the ams gt42r turbo kit in a 1/4 mile drag or in a curcuit
ANSWER: (The GT42R will not be very helpful unless you have a built engine. The 350z only makes around 360-370 rwhp with the Greddy kit. If you put on a AMS GT30R or even a GT35R ( a bit more spool time) you will be able to destroy the 350Z. I have a Evo 8 with the Peakboost GT3076R kit with A AEM EMS tuned at AMS and it made 559.6 awhp at 30psi of boost on the stock block, and stock head minus buddy club 264/272 cams, and a snow performance methanol kit.)

which is the best turbo? VF34, 20G, Blouch Dominator 2.5 or Greddy t518z?
i own a 98 model sti. i want to be running 10-11secs down 1/4 in the future, so which turbo is best suitable for this kind of power? if none, which others?how much will this cost me? and what other parts will i need to run the turbo, and how much will they be? and how much power will all of these parts give me? including the turbo?
ANSWER: (If you just want a bolt on get something like a forced performance green turbo you can get like 350-400whp out of them with supporting mods but if you want more power then that go with a gt35 or 40, their not a straight bolt on, and you can expect more than 500whp using them.)

can you install any turbo to a carburated engine? ford 302?

Does Car Dealers install turbo kits?
I purchase a Greddy turbo kit for my 2008 Honda Civic Si, I don't know any tuning shops around my area so will the dealer take it? do I need to purchase anything else like a custom exhaust and chip or does it come with the turbo kit?
ANSWER: (most dealers want do upgrades like that unless the manufacture has that opiton on that vehicle.so ur best bet would find someone who can do it besides the dealer becuz they want do it.and ur going to need a cumstom fit exhaust becuz a turbo connects to the exhaust and u probaly wont need a chip.depends on how big the turbo is but i would get one to help the comp remeasure air to fuel ratios and get the turbo to kick in.)

is there any way of putting turbo in a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT?
ive been reading and some people said that there is no turbo period... do they just mean turbo that comes when you buy the car, or does that include aftermarket turbo as well, like greddy and such
ANSWER: (Ignore david, he is talking about the previous generation eclipse 1995-1999. There is really nothing you can do, if you seriously want performance, then sell your Eclipse and buy yourself a Lancer Evolution. Sinking money into an Eclipse GT is just shooting yourself in the foot.)

Any other Ka24de turbo kits besides Greddy?
Is there any other turbo kits for a ka24de besides Greddy? I don't want any ebay or universal turbo kits. I want something top of the line. My motto is do it right or do it twice. So money isn't a problem right now. I just really don't want to go with Greddy.
ANSWER: (If you want something top of the line, why are you getting a kit? Build it yourself/get it fabricated. Choose your own intercooler, your own turbo, what size injectors and fuel pump you want, and then have the piping/fittings/etc done. And keep in mind, if you want to "do it right," your engine better be in tip top shape. No issues whatsoever, good compression, etc. Be ready to rebuild if necessary.)

TURBO SCION TC what do i need to do to the motor to hold 23psi?
so i have a 2006 tc and i have a greddy turbo kit not enough power so what would i need to do to the internals to be able to push 23 pounds? rods, pistons, valve spring/retainer kit, and turbo cams let me know
ANSWER: (somethings that may be good could be, crower rods, cp pistons, crower valvetrain, in fact if you check out youtube, there is a guy that owns a tC, his girlfirend actually drives it, he also owns a 09 C6 Z06 and their tC destroyed their Vette. you can check out his tC here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54bjpPVZazYthey are running 23 psi with 520+whp.basically just beef up the internals cuz it can be done.but i think thats really it what you said: cams, pistons, rods, valvetrain (springs/retainer kit) and valves of course, maybe valve guids. check out Dezod, they have a huge list of things you can check out. they have a stroker kit up, engine build. other things. and PTuning also)

Where can I find a aftermarket turbo kit for a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL?
The dealer told me that the VTR's twin turbos had some problems so I got the SL instead but I'd still like the turbo. GReddy had a set but its discontinued, and judging by the price of a kit for an eclipse it would be between 2000-4000$. I'd like to find a good one much cheaper. Thanks
ANSWER: (Well the SL has the 10:1 compression compared to the 8:1 that the vr4 has, it also has smaller injectors and is missing parts like no Inter coolers or piping etc. Most people who turbocharge their SL to the TT conversion making it a front wheel drive twin turbo. the higher compression makes it a bit snappier but you cant run as much boost. you have to swap out water housing and oil pan and well I will include a link with the list. other options are modifying parts you have and buying aftermarket headers and turbos and a lot of custom fabrication. I would personally talk to the people at dynamic racing (http://www.dynamicracing.com/customer/home.php) 3sx (3sx.com) or IPS motor sports (www.ipsmotorsports.net) and they all are very knowledgeable and can get you what you need. There is a ton of information about the conversion and other car info at www.3si.org especially this thread (http://www.3si.org/forum/f53/tt-conversion-link-thread-381471/) hope this helps)

What things does not come with a Greddy Turbo Kit?
I know that the Greddy turbo kit does not come with intercooler, downpipes, piggy back, and blow-off valve. Please correct me if I am wrong. What other things would I be needing for a complete turbo kit.My car is a 1991 Miata NA. I need to know what other mods I would need to have a complete, fast, raceable, streetcar with good performance and sound.
ANSWER: (The complete Greddy kit comes with a few of these parts."turbocharger, downpipe adapter, piping, hardware and heat-shields, in most kits, they even include pre-tuned fuel enrichment."However, for a few dollars more, Flying Miata has a more complete set up. By the time you get the missing parts (intercooler, piping and ECM add ons the extra dollars are well spent). Then there is always the Jackson Racing Super Charger. While I have been working on a turbo set up of my own, I think an off the shelf unit would had been wisest. For now I have added OBX headers, Mega Flow cat and a 10 lb flywheel on my 90 models.I have been into two Miata engines (one had the dreaded key way failure) and I have seen that investing in an inspected crankshaft is good to great investment. One of the crankshafts had a forging burst in it. That is one out of three, not good odds.A factory blue printing can add 20 hp sometimes. But if you are going to turbo charge it, do not have the deck shaved. The gain in horse power is amost directly related to engine balancing. So between a lightened fly wheel and a custom engine build you can easily be in the 150 HP range for effective purposes. Which with a mild boost (7psi) you should be in the 200 HP range. Which borders on too much for many drivers to handle and corner effectively with. Not that I would not like to try it. The reason I mention this is that you can eat up a lot of tires learning. Blown tires can put you on your top, and that is something that is just not there on a Miata. Also once you get above 150 HP the transmission weaknesses show up real fast and so does the weaknesses of the differentual. So plan on upgrades there. One rear end swap is to a Ford 8.8 one out of a T-bird that had an independent rear end. On the Transmission there is a lot of debate. Some racers modify the internals out of a RX7 turbo to fit the Miata case. But then I also read of RX7 turbo owners making modifications to fit the Miata transmission parts into the RX7 case. Just plan on a transmission rebuild often. As for sound, I have no clue on that one. You-tube has some sound bites on different ones. Me I think quieter is better. I don't want to have to prove myself to every young gun on the road, and a mean exhaust seems to draw them. I would rather just be gone and leave them asking how an old man beat them so bad.)

What else would I need to complete a turbo kit for miata?
Just wondering, I have a Greddy turbo kit installed in my miata, bought it as it is, nothing else modified into the engine. What other items would I be needing so the engine runs smooth and I wont have any problems for the next year or so?

how much horsepower would i gain if i swapped a stock 93 civic motor with a 00 rsx motor plus a turbo-charger?
the motor that i am highly thinking about is a 2000 rsx motor and it is called a k20a motor plus the turbo-charger brand that was highly recommended to me was a greddy turbo-charger. what model greddy turbo-charger is the best bang for your buck?
ANSWER: (You know it would cost money for the; engine conversion - say $2800, 'G-reddy turbo' - $1200, turbo manifold - $1000, retune and ecu $300. Don't forget labour - $500. Total $5800. Why not get a car that is already turbocharged? Its faster. WRX already pushes 130kW at the wheels stock. Might as well. Think logically, typical honda owners.)

How do you install the GREDDY PRofec B SPEC 2 ELECTRONIC BOOST CONTROLLER on my turbo'd tc?
I want to install it in the arm rest, in the big opening.
ANSWER: (The problem is not the physical installation of getting the box into your arm rest. It is in the door arm rest you will have a problem in insuring that the wiring is fed properly from the door to the car chassis, then to the various other places under the dash, and engine compartment. Getting it into a door armrest only requires that you remove the door panel, place the box into the location you want, and secure it, then to cut openings for your wiring to run inside the door. You would also have to either feed them through an existing 'flex tube' for wiring, or get a type of flexible rubber tubing to mount into a hole you drill in the front of the door edge. This tubing would need to be firmly attached in the door, and also in the car chassis. (I would just go to a salvage yard and remove one from a wrecked car that has one. If you do this, be careful to make a template of the holes it needs to mount in your car as you would need them of the proper size, and shape to remount it.) After that you would just need to feed the wiring into the door panel, connect it to the unit, and remount the unit in the panel the way you had first mounted, and secured it to get holes in the panel in the proper place for it. If you are talking of an arm rest in a center console, it is merely to remove the console, fit-mount the unit box in that, cut the holes, then before you reinstall the console you run the wiring under the carpet to where it needs to go. Then simply connect them to the unit, and replace the console. The problem is never one of mounting an object. The problem comes in the proper running of wires, and cables in a good way. I have mounted every type of device in communications installation you can think of, and then some. Door panels, and such are the easy part. Under carpeting, in headliners, and from those places into the car sidepanels, to the trunk, under the dashboard, and into the engine compartment are tedious. Some communications equipment becomes a one or two day task as holes must be drilled, and other cables must be run for antennas in some location as well. Your task is comparatively an easy one.)

What kind a engine management system do I need for Acura RSX Type S so I can put on a HKS or GReddy Turbo kits?
Please explain detail from ECU to every detail because I'm still in school auto performance class still ain't learn much so asking for help to put on a HKS or GReddy turbo kit on my RSX type S K20 engine.
ANSWER: (The Greddy kit has a Emanage ultimate as part of the kit that is already programmed for the kit, all you do is unplug your factory ECU, plug the harness that comes with the kit into the plugs 1 side the factory wiring, other side the factory ECU, then the third into the Emange, after that all the wiring is done, and its tuned. The HKS however will require you to buy an aftermarket unit and have it tuned. You could go with something as cheap as a Apex'i VAFC neo, or as expensive as a AEM EMS, or Hydra Nemisis.)

GReddy Bolt on Turbo?
http://jdmultimate.com/greddy/greddy_turbo_kit_bolton/11550036/i-177710.aspx That above link is the turbo I was looking at for my Honda. Any good? I think I see headers. Are they worth keeping or should I swap in some DC Header?Serious question, and please dont mention anything about 'you should buy so-and-so American car'. I am going for quality, so that eliminates that. Thanks!Thats great, Joe, Really. I consider this part of my research (rolls eyes) I might ask 10 more, and you can answer all 10, but you're not getting any best answers, so move on
ANSWER: (You cannot use a header on a turbo setup, the manifold for the turbo is used in its place. You should really invest in the front mount intercooler upgrade and add the type-rs blow off valve too.)

is it hard to install a turbo timer in an evo 8?
im planning on buying a greddy turbo timer and was wondering if it was easy or hard to install?
ANSWER: (does your car still have the stock turbo, if so your wasting your money. turbo timers were designed for people with larger oil cooled turbos. I have a HTA35R on my EVO 8 I don't even have a turbo timer. I don't see the point in wasting money to sit in the car 2 mins after I've arrived at my destination.)

Greddy Turbo kit for auto RSX available?
I saw on the clubrsx website that there is a turbo kit for auto rsx's. Is this a typo or you could really turbocharge an auto rsx. Just curious because I have 5-speed rsx and I saw that it could be for auto's to. Website where I saw it at: http://www.clubrsx.com/cr/GRE-11550036.html
ANSWER: (Yes it can be for auto's too, but an automatic trans will not hold up to the power as well unless it's been built. But even then it would be unreliable, besides you just can't have as much fun in a auto as you can in a manual.)

How much horsepower would my Scion tc have with a greddy turbo?
I have a 2008 Special Edition Scion tC, and I'm looking to put in a Greddy brand turbo charger. I was wondering how much horsepower I'd end up with in the end. The tC comes with a 163 base hp, so, what will be the end result? I'm looking at the one that's about 3k.
ANSWER: (I'm not exactly sure what the gains will be...you can always email/call GReddy and talk to them. www.greddy.com But from my experience and from what I have seen...you'd probably be looking at a 40-50% increase in power. So around 245hp would be possible. But you also gotta ask GReddy how much boost (in psi) that you can run. My guess is since the tC motor isn't really a turbo friendly motor, you cannot run massive amounts of boost. So my guess is the boost will be set conservatively at around 6-8 psi. The more boost, the more HP, but you also run the risk of pinging, knocking, detonation, and blowing your motor. So just adding the turbo kit is great, but you really need to make sure you do the supporting mods that will ensure it to be reliable and safe to run more boost if you so desire.)

i want to replace the stock turbo with a new GReddy turbo but where can i find those at?
97 toyota supra
ANSWER: (They're available all sorts of places. A google search brought up: http://www.autocarparts.com/part/1440/44/ What you'll probably want to do though, is find local car clubs in your area and find a TRUSTED mechanic or supplier of the hardware if you're doing it yourself. For the kind of pricetag you'll be dropping on a GReddy turbo kit for a '97 Supra, you're gonna want to make sure you can put a face to the name so you have someone to yell at if a part is bad or missing.)

Do I need to change my 06' OEM ECU to a 04' OEM ECU in order for me to Install a Greddy Turbo Kit on my car?
I have a 2006 Acura RSX Type S.I have a 2006 Acura RSX Type S. The reason why I am asking is because everytime I look at websites they only state that the Greddy Turbo kit is only for the 02' to 04' Acura RSX Type S.I have a 2006 Acura RSX Type S. The reason why I am asking is because most of the ad's for the Greddy Turbo Kit states that its only for the 02' to 04' Acura RSX Type S. I also asked one of the local vendors here and they said I need an 04' OEM RSX Type S ECU and Hondata K-Pro. Thanks in advance.
ANSWER: (If you're looking to throw a turbo on your car, I'm not quite sure if you can just interchange the ecu like that. Little variances in the engines, even if they are the same model (K20z3) could cause major problems, especially under boost. I think the best option would be to opt for a standalone ecu, which greddy does offer as well. This way, you will be able to tune your engine more effectively for desired boost, or any other modifications you may try.)

How would a 1993 civic hb with a d15 swap hold a greddy turbo and how much hp would be added.?
1993 civic hatch back with a d15 swap and a vtec z6 head, with a greddy turbo kit (not on yet) and e-manage. Would the engine be able to hold up the added power with out needing other higher performance parts ( if not what would need to be replaced to hold up) and how much power would the turbo add (whats the original hp and the hp after turbo). Im not sure what size or model. Does anyone know what car the d15 comes from?
ANSWER: (Like the other guy said compression is your problem on that one, another problem is the stock d15 rods could not handle the added hp. One more thing you do not have to have a certain compression to run a turbo its just the lower the compression is the more boost you can run safely do some more research before you go throwing a turbo on stock enternals.)

greddy turbo kit fit on the first generations with the ka24de?
since the first and second generation 240sx both had the same basic chassis and starting from 1990 i think they all had the ka24de upgraded one, why does greddy specifically say their turbo is only for the second generation 240sx?what? but the s13's after 1990 had the dohc engine too, the same one as the s14's
ANSWER: (The '89 and '90 U.S. model 240SX was fitted with the KA24E engine which was a SOHC (single overhead cam engine). 1991 and later models were fitted with the KA24DE, which was the DOHC variant. Besides the engine differences, different chassis were used during the 240's production life. In the United States, the '89-'94 model years were the S13 chassis, while the '95-98 was the S14 chassis. In short, the Greddy KA turbo kit is for an S14 car powered by a KA24DE. While a 1990 is an S13 powered by a KA24E. EDIT:Added to address the Askers "Additional Details": As I stated in my original answer, the Greddy turbo kit is designed to fit an S14 with a KA24DE. Not an S13, regardless if it has a KA24E or KA24DE. Even with identical motors the layout of the chassis and engine compartment is different. So though the kit will physically bolt on to the engine, there would be clearance issues on the S13. All of the associated plumbing is designed to be routed around the S14's engine compartment, not the S13's. It's that simple.)
