where can i find a good quality Turbo kit for a really cheap price for An Acura Integra Ls 01 two door. Thanks?
Also, what would the price be, and is a turbo better than a supercharger?
ANSWER: (First off cheap and reliable DO NOT mix with turbo kits. The LEAST you will spend is about $3,000 installed. http://www.turbo-kits.com/integra_turbo_kits.html If you think you can get them cheaper, then I will GUARANTEE that the "kit" will not be complete, you will have to fabricate parts, or you will spend another $2,000 in parts making it work.)

I was thinking of putting a turbo charger on my 1999 acura integra. How muh horsepower should I get, cost??
How much would it cost to have a small turbo charger put on my integra? How much horse power should I expect to get? The car is stock and has a auto trans.
ANSWER: (Putting a turbo on an AT Integra is a waste of money. A good kit will run you at least $3000. Stay away from the junk on ebay. You will need to rebuild the AT, because it can't handle the extra torque.)

is it possible to but a turbo in a 2005 acura rsx?
i had someone try to put one in and it kept over heating and people wont even want to touch my car i want to kno if anyone has done it to a 2005 acura rsx
ANSWER: (Go find a pro shop around where you live, and have them do it right. It costs alot of money, and dont even try if you think you might not have enough. it would be around 5k if you get good stuff, and this is after tuning. There are lost of issues when turboing any NA car. IE oil leaks and such. Do some research then decide.)

can an acura integra with turbo beat a mitsubishi eclipse with a v6?
ANSWER: (Depends on so many variables, that your question borderlines pointless. What horsepower levels? How good are the drivers? What type of race? And don't bother saying 1/4 mile, because all that proves is who can hit the gas pedal the best. Any other mods? Etc and so forth. You might as well just ask "hey, can a guy beat up another guy?" Just as vague.)

What kind a engine management system do I need for Acura RSX Type S so I can put on a HKS or GReddy Turbo kits?
Please explain detail from ECU to every detail because I'm still in school auto performance class still ain't learn much so asking for help to put on a HKS or GReddy turbo kit on my RSX type S K20 engine.
ANSWER: (The Greddy kit has a Emanage ultimate as part of the kit that is already programmed for the kit, all you do is unplug your factory ECU, plug the harness that comes with the kit into the plugs 1 side the factory wiring, other side the factory ECU, then the third into the Emange, after that all the wiring is done, and its tuned. The HKS however will require you to buy an aftermarket unit and have it tuned. You could go with something as cheap as a Apex'i VAFC neo, or as expensive as a AEM EMS, or Hydra Nemisis.)

acura integra turbo help?
what do i need at least to upgrade in my engine in order to run a turbo with out any problems ... some people keep saying that i need to up grade my rods ,, is that ture ..is ther any other things i need to up grade i have an acura integra LS 95
ANSWER: (Your engine is not configured to run a turbo. You would need new pistons to lower the compression and handle the pressures. Of course all of the tubing and a new exhaust system. A stronger bottom end(Rods, Crank, Bearings) is not required but will be shortly when that one dies. Really to get the full benefits of a turbo you would need a new camshaft with a suitable profile, and some cylinder head work. Just go for nitrous, learn how to install and use it properly and you will net nearly the same gains in HP and save yourself a few thousand dollars.)

-
What kind of turbo for acura?
What brand and model of turbo kit should i get for my 1.8 liter non-vtech integra?
ANSWER: (actually for lower boost installations a supercharger is preferable to a turbo (both systems deliver the same increase in power when installed at equivalent levels of boost): a supercharger installation is :-lighter (no pipes/plumbing) , runs cooler-easier & cheaper to install-delivers power more quickly & in a more linear fashion.-easier/cost effective to move to higher levels of boost (change a pulley) your stock engine can handle a mild boost - say 5 or 6 lbs, which will give you an increase of +35% in hp over stock and much of that will be delivered to the wheels. you will require the following modifications:-cold air intake & throttle body space-performance exhaust, catback-performance headers-re tune of the engine's management system (pro-shop tune) because forced induction creates high level of heat/stress on an engine, to prevent engine failure- if you want to exceed mild boost levels you are advised to build out your engine:-bottom end, forged pistons/rods-top end, race heads http://www.supercharger.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=38961 its a rush (to the answerer "the evil"...no way will a properly prepared honda compare to a supercharged one-you just do not have a clue) this will make you serious quick. cheers, 04 cobra)

Turbo on Acura Integra non-vtec 1.8 L engine?
Okay... I have a Acura Integra 1.8 L non-vtec engine with about 30,000 miles on it. Also i have a new AEM cold-air intake and also a new full cat-bck exhuast system as well. Just wondering about what type of turbo kit i should get to improve the engine about 100 more hp. I'm aware of ebay and other sites having good deals i just need to know the type and model of turbo kit i should get. Thankyou
ANSWER: (if you use a turbo off of ebay i will hunt you down lol jk. dont use a turbo off of ebay EVER, your car will be toast in no time. Greddy makes nice ones too. read this stuff first: http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=219http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=1100http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=1229remember that a good build takes lots of research and planning.join team-integra.net)

would a turbo hurt an 97 acura integra rs?
its an b18a motor sadly, wanted to switch it over to the h22a but just turbo instead. Would the motor be able to hold a stage 1 turbo without a prob, or does it need to be built up.
ANSWER: (Okay. Uhm the fact that its a A not a C (type) is actually good because you are running lower compression, and that is *thumbs up* when it comes to boost. No need to build up. Just have engine management and do a proper tune...I'll say it again PROPER TUNE! You should be able to run 8-10psi no problem. ...TUNE!Cheers. just a fun fact. A Porsche turbo II runs about 6.8 compression as opposed to the NA type S motor which runs at 11.0.)

Turbo on a 91 acura legend?
Is it possible to put a srt-4 turbo on my 91 acura legend the srt-4 is a 3.0L and my legend is a 3.2L my cousin told me that i should be able to do it.
ANSWER: (Your cousin is unfortunately right.... You could put a turbo on pretty much any car with enough work. (but why?) 1) the SRT-4 is 2.4 liters. (makes no difference other than he was wrong.) 2)You would need alot of things to pull this off. ie; exhaust manifold, piping and plumbing, down pipe up pipe, intercooler, and not to mention a whole mess of computer related things because your acura is nearly 20 years old. 2a) yet your engine probably is to old and your compression ratios are to high to hold any boost produced in that engine. You would blow the head off your engine unless it was rebuilt and then possibly ARPed together. To do this right you woud need to invest about $8,000-$10,000. 3) the Legend is probably automatic (not worth tuning for performance) 4) It would be cheaper and more efficient to just by a kit supercharger or a turbo kit ($4000). It would probably give you enough performance that you would be happy. Good Luck)

Can you put a turbo kit in a 2002 Acura RSX 5 Speed?
(manual transmission) (manual transmission) because im trying to decide between the type-s or base model and if i cant get the type-s i want to make sure i can do it with the base model
ANSWER: (Yes you can do it with both. The Base model would be a better bet because you will have taller gears to run through and the compression ratio is lower on that model. Another note: The Type-S is a lot of fun NA.)

turbo charge an acura rsx type s?
what would i need to do to the engine to run a turbo on an 2004 acura rsx type s?
ANSWER: (You don't have to do anything to it as long as you don't run a high amount of boost. I would say about 7-9 lbs. would be safe on your car and still give you about 100 rwhp. These numbers can vary depending on the brand of turbo you go with but this should give you a good idea of what to expect.)
-
turbo an acura rsx type s?
what would i need to do to turbo charger an 2004 acura rsx type s?
ANSWER: (you needa mod your engine so it can take x amount of psi you plan on putting in it. anything more than 6-7 psi may hurt your engine if its stock)

Does the Acura RSX Type S come stock with turbo?
Trying to learn all about the RSX Type S before I buy one.
ANSWER: (no, Honda only made one car with a stock turbo and that was a long time ago, all of their cars are N/A (natural aspiration) meaning that the only charge of incoming air is from the down force of the piston. turbo's for these are all aftermarket stuff. any way here are some spec for the car: http://www.team-integra.net/sections/local/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=100&TopicID=245819&PagePosition=1&state=CAhope that helps you out some)

ANSWER: (if you love the way it sounds and just that dont do it, and you dont care how good it is dont even waste your time or money, itll just give you problems and could mess up your motor. and if you want to use the extra power you have to build up the bottom end. you can check out one of team-integra.net sponsor : http://www.synapseturbo.com/take the time to read these as well :http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=1229http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=219)

Can supercharged acura RSX beat a Supra Twin turbo?
My dream car is an Acura RSX and my friend's is a supra he keeps bragging about how his supra is faster than my car, but from what I've seen, supercharged Acuras are real fast. i would like to know if its possible to beat him with a supercharged RSX
ANSWER: (Wow are you serious!?!?! You would need a turbo charger and a completely rebuilt motor to even get to the same level a stock supra is. Supra's are stock 320HP. I assume your friend is modding the supra so his Hp levels are probably higher. Your dream car should be something that is a little higher than a RSX...try maybe a NSX. Now if you turbocharge a nsx it would probably beat the supra.)

if I get my engine strengthened on my 04' Acura TL can I get a custom fabricated twin turbo built for it?
wondering if my TL, noone makes turbo or twin turbos for it, could get a custom turbo or twin made for it? And if so what's it likely to cost? I've got the extra cash from a lawsuit to do it. Love my car and jus want to make it faster. Already have i/h/e done so far
ANSWER: (Xavier, Not sure if my earlier post was to your question re a turbocharger option for the TL. I wrote that there is no such beast, only a supercharger kit from CT-Engineering that makes a modest 4 - 5 psi tops. Anything can be done with enough money. There are Honda/Acura performance shops that will do a full build on a Honda J32A3 motor (what's in the '04 TL). However, you'd invest a boatload of money getting it right to the place where it will support a custom built turbocharger. Even if you could get more than 8 or so psi from this engine, here's some real world problems you'd face in getting adequate results: 1. If your car's got an automatic transmission, a high boost arrangement will likely bring it to an early death. 2. If your car's one of the few that has a manual 6 speed, you'll be better off, but you'll find that the clutch will slip. The transmission was not built to handle gobs of extra power. Note: Honda (Acura) uses FEA (Finite Element Analysis) in their design process that enables them to only slightly over-engineer their product...it's got a buffer for added stress beyond what's 'stock', but not a lot. Honda/Acura engineers cars the way Boeing engineers airplanes...BTW, this is not a bad thing. 3. No matter what transmission you have, you'll have wicked torque-steer. Acura uses a VSA feature that limits power delivery in accordance with wheel slip & uneven power distribution. If you turn it off while trying to handle a launch with 400+ hp, you'll be wrestling with the steering wheel...struggling to keep the TL from angling into the curb. 4. If you can overcome all of the above, a TL with so much hp will only experience a modest improvement in its 0-60 launch times. Overpowered FWD designs can be terribly inefficient in linear acceleration from a 'dig'. Example: A stock TL Type S with a manual tranny should be neck & neck in acceleration with the IS350 (automatic transmission/rear wheel drive) due to the IS's losses through the torque converter...but the TL is still a good 1/2 second slower...FWD inefficiencies. Personally, if you've got to have more performance, I'd go with the supercharger kit, add a Greddy Evo2 stage 3 exhaust, add race engine mounts plus a couple other ooh-ahs, and be happy with the 340 flywheel hp you'll be making. Just my opinion (I drive an '06, tuned TL).)
