i have a lexus is300 and i was looking at the turbo kit and i came across this turbo kit on ebay?
the price is cheap, it looks to good to be truehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-2JZ-GT45-TURBO-KIT-SUPRA-SC300-IS300-2JZ-GTE-14P-/170611310462?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2001%7CMake%3ALexus%7CModel%3AIS300&vxp=mtr&hash=item27b939ff7e#ht_5073wt_1081
ANSWER: (What the other guy said is true for the most part, eBay turbos are cheap, for the most part, especially when you see them at a price like that. I would also agree your internals aren't ready to handle the pressure 'sure you'd want to push. My suggesting, go find a t25 or a t28 turbo from a SR20 or w/e the Mitsubishi Eclipses had in them and build yourself a turbo set up pushing around 2-5psi of boost. You'll get more power w/o pushing your internals very hard, a relatively cost effective setup, and you'll learn alot more by building your own then if a bunch of random pieces came to your door from Hong Kong. Last but not least, read up and do research on the internet, you really can find anything on there.)

What needs to be replaced for the turbo to work?
I have a 1996 Toyota Supra 2JZGE. And I plan on getting this little turbo kit for it, what all needs to be upgraded for it to work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/330359447078?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
ANSWER: (It would be wise to at least find a forum that deals with turbo chargers for Supra's.Engine management is not addressed. This includes injectors and their control. The fuel regulator will only go so far in correcting for boost fuel needs. So different injectors may be needed. Also ignition control, as boost increases, timing has to be adjusted. If your car has a MAP sensor it will need to be changed. The blow off valve may cause the engine to die when returning to idle, so a different part/s may need to procured.Get a quality kit, it will include instructions and address these issues.)

How to make my 94 Toyota Pickup a Baja Truck?
I have a 94 Toyota Pickup (Not Tacoma), extended cab 2wd with a 22RE. Im looking to Baja it out. Im looking for good websites where i can find lifts kits/ spindle lift/ suspension, fenders, seats, engine work and what ever else ill need. Ive also heard of a turbo kit for the 22RE and i want to know what is a good kit to buy.
ANSWER: (If you want to go Baja you need to get the most travel you can get from your suspension. DO NOT GET A LIFT KIT. Those just raise the truck without changing anything in the suspension. The only difference you will feel while offroading is the fact your center of gravity will be high thus making it easier to roll over. Your best bet is to look for a Long Travel Kit. If you want to be on a budget you can possibly find used ones at Racedezzert.com. Or any other forum side. Total Chaos also has a kit available that I hear many good things from. But doing this should not be taken lightly. Different kit having different feels. You should look and read some forums on what other people thought about their kits. By properly doing your research you will be happy with the first kit you buy. If you do get Long Travel you will need to get flared fenders. When it comes to engine you will not really need it that much unless your really want to power. But a colleague of mine has an 89 with only the suspension mods and does great out on the trail. I even saw him tow a buggy up a pretty steep hill. Good luck and I hope you find something you will enjoy. Its always good to see new faces out on the dirt.)

I have a stock 2jz is300. what more would it take to safely, and reliably twin turbo it with this supra setup?
I found an ad that reads "have a factory Toyota twin turbo kit with 30000 miles that can work on a Lexus is 300 or any 1jz at that. as well as swapping a n/a supra to a twin Toyota dealership says that in the condition i can sell the twins for 800 but i also have every thing that came of including the turbo maf sensor which is another 300 bucks through Toyota anyways. texts appreciated thanks "I was wondering how much more i would need to safely install it and still have a reliable car. also how many hours would it take for a mechanic to install it all?
ANSWER: (You need lots of stuff, like pistons, maf, injectors, ecu, wiring, fuel pump, intercooler, pipes, dowpipe, exhaust and lots of stuff to get it working. After everything done, you can expect up to 330 HPs which is good, if you want to virtually do the mod and see how your car would perform after the mod, try a car performance simulator at http://www.nxgtrsim.com)

What should I do to my Toyota Celica?
I just got a 2003 Celica, and everything in it is factory. I want to improve this mutha fuckka. So what all should I do? Body Kit? Turbo? What else yo?
ANSWER: (If you have the money for a turbo and such, then I recommend having the motor and tranny built up a bit so that you can run a lot of psi. If you run 30psi then you'll have at least 400HP. The stock powertrain could probably handle up to 10psi.http://www.fastwayracer.com/product_info.php?products_id=915This guy has a 5psi setup and is pushing 225hp:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVZh1I5JAJw)

Can a 6 spd 2jz-gte support a 650 whp turbo kit.?
ok so my neighbors are having a yard sale across the street and are selling a 650 horsepower turbo kit for a toyota 2jz-gte 6 spd engine for 100 dollars. It is single turbo i believe and it was never opened. could a 2jz-gte support an extra 650 whp? Should I buy it or is it just a waste of money? I guess there son bought it but he moved and never took it. i seen people who have like 1100 hp in their supra but i'm not sure if it had a v6 2jz gte
ANSWER: (you have no idea what your talking about, first of all a 2jz is a straight 6, a 650 hp turbo kit usually means it will support up to 650 hp not add 650hp, and no, a stock block will not handle 650hp...and the late model newer body styles only came with a 2jz, not all were factory twin turboed though, some were n/a)
-
Can a 2011 toyota corolla s handle a twin turbo kit?
Just wondering if the block could handle the horses
ANSWER: (It could but it would need a good intercooler, it will be difficult to install and not worth the money. Besides why would you want twin-turbos on a fuel efficient vehicle? IF its the AE-86 Corolla then that makes more sense. Start of small, intake, exhaust, ecu, inlet manifold, camshafts, sparks, fuel lines etc.)

1996 Ford Mustang GT VS TOYOTA SUPRA 1993 Twin Turbo Targa Top MKIV?
1996 Ford Mustang GT VS TOYOTA SUPRA 1993 Twin Turbo Targa Top MKIVHey guys I just got two cars, that my dad didn't want anymore. I was wondering wich one is better. The ford gt is ust buetiful, great body kit, tinted windows/eye brows, black matted rims, black paintjob, and a great interior. But on the down side is its not that powerfull or fast even with a turbo. On the supra the engine is extreamlly powerfull, twin turbo, runs great. But the interior looks horrible because all stock supras look like that, but the extrior is nice but instead of red, I will give it a white paintob, with tinted windows/brows, black matted rims. Can someone plz reply on wich one you think is better so I can sell the least greatest one for supplys such as superchargers and etc? Plz pick on wich car u think is nicer.
ANSWER: (well if they were both given to you then it would only up to you to choose but I would pick the mustang because they are cheaper to repair. The down side of the Supra is speeding tickets and the possibilities of having an accident from excessive speed)

What is the best website/place to buy a turbo kit for my car?
I own a 2004 Toyota Celica GT-S, and i am looking for a place/site for a turbo kit that won't rip me off.
ANSWER: (And how would THEY rip you off? It's your money, your decision to buy it.If you look at something, decide it's worth buying, and buy it....THAT IS ON YOU. If you lack the ability to make an informed decision, that is not a ripoff. It's called being an idiotic consumer. And all you have to do is search google for Celica Turbo Kit.it's not that hard.Hell, there's even websites that are dedicated to building those cars. What? Couldn't find any of them?)

Does any one know were i can buy a turbo kit for my 1987 4runner 4 cyl?
It's a 1987 Toyota 4runner, on the motor it says turbo EFI but I researched the location of the turbo on the computer I went to check for the turbo, but it wasn't there. I live in Los angles but I don't mind buying it online.
ANSWER: (I do not know where to find a turbo kit for that particular model, but I can say from experience DON"T DO IT, JUST DRIVE THE CAR!!! I have a 3rd Generation Toyota 4Runner with a 3.4L V6 and a Toyota Racing Development (TRD) Supercharger (the main difference between a supercharger and turbo is that superchargers use clean air to boost the intake and power instead of exhaust air like turbo), a supercharger designed and built by a division of Toyota and bought by the driver and installed (usually) in a Toyota dealer. I bought my car used, and the dealer didn't tell me how I had to special order my drive belt because the regular belt isn't long enough to accommodate the supercharger's pulley, and he didn't tell me that the supercharger made it so you had to use premium unleaded to avoid pinging, or that the supercharger decreases fuel economy a little bit upon acceleration compared to stock, or that supercharging the engine adds more strain to the drivetrain because the engine is not putting out the amount of horsepower and torque that it was designed to, and therefore the drivetrain is not taking on the amount of force it was designed to, and the dealer did not tell me that supercharger=more maintenance, and that all of this amounted to a minimal difference in performance.Do you see where I'm going with this? You have a good car, just drive it! I love my 4Runner, but I sure wish it was stock.)

Where in SoCal can I get my Turbo Kit installed on my Supra?
I Have a 1994 Toyota Supra MKIV Non-Turbo (2JZ-GE) that I recently put together a turbo kit for. My question is if anyone knows where I can get the turbo kit professionally installed, under a good rate? I'm in the 909 area, so anywhere local in SoCal will be better.
ANSWER: (It is illegal to install turbos in California unless its from the factory. Yeah, it really sucks because i live in SoCal too. If you do install it illegally i must warn you my friend was caught with his cold air intake from a random check from an officer.(yes, cold air intakes are also illegal in california) Officers have the right to check your car if it is suspicious. Wish you luck buddy!)

Supra non-turbo to turbo?
If i wanted to make my 1995 Toyota Supra non-turbo a turbo, how much would the turbo kit plus installation and tuning be? Basically, how much money would it take to make it a turbo
ANSWER: (wow man. congrats on the car, it's def. legendary. to answer the question, it would all depend on how much more hp you want, turbos range from 100hp/$300 to 1000/$12,000. maybe even more, there's plenty of supras out there that are 1000hp or more. so it would depend on the turbo you bought. the tuning would also depend on how much needs to be done along with the installation. it's really hard to answer this with no specifics...sorry.)

can i install turbo in this truck?
I was just wondering if i can install a turbo kit in a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab Pickup 4D 6 ft and if i can where online can i find a good deal or if you know of any places in southern california more specific the inland empire, riverside 92507.BTW its a four cylinder truckSomeone mentioned Supercharger how much is would it cost and what are the pros and cons of turbo vs. Supercharged
ANSWER: (Any skilled mechanic can install a Turbo on that truck for you, However You NEED to make sure that the Turbo kit is CARB (Ca Air Resource Board) approved for use on YOUR truck/Engine. Just make sure you get one with a CARB E-O number that applies for your truck and that the MFR says is CA (or 50 state legal)Start with a Google search on the internet for Turbo Kit for 2005 Tacoma (need engine size 2.4L?) and go from there. You have some pretty good speed shops out in the IE so I am sure you can find one there to buy it from and have it installed. It will NOT however come cheap.)

id like to boost the performance of my supra but have no idea where to find a decent turbo kit and anything else that will boost its HP and torque. i have been told to look for wrecked supras at junk yards but i dont have a clue how to find any junk yards that in my area or anything like that
ANSWER: (ebay will probably get you the best deal on a kit but be careful what you buy. find a supra forum and get information from the experienced members on the forum)

Is there a Turbo kit for a 1992 Toyota mr2 N/A..just got one today its a fun little car to fix up?
ANSWER: (Hey commander, eff the camaro. Camaro's are over rated; they're only good in a straight line but how practical is that? not at all. To answer the real question, yes. A good friend of mine drove EXACTLY that. It was a 1992 MR2 with an aftermarket turbo. He drove it all through college. It actually had a roof scoop for the turbo. It ran well

do you think this turbo will work on a stock toyota tercel 96?
i am lookin for something to add power to my stock 96 toyota tercel.do you think this $400 turbo kit will do much.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260687199093&viewitem=#vi-contentno i dont want to run full power because i dont want to blow my engine?
ANSWER: (You'd be better off giving me that $400 and getting a paper bag full of dookie in return. As previously said, your engine probably had about 70hp when new. Turboing a wheezy old motor is a very dumb idea best left to the hondaboiz, whom will be walking home when it catches on FIRE.Put that $400 away, and start looking for a car worth a PROPER forced induction treatment. And by proper, that does NOT mean some chinese ebay crap where they GLUE the turbo together.)

How much does a turbo kit cost?
I own a 97 toyota celica st and i was wondering how much it would cost to install a turbo. Im not looking for the 2000 dollar ones, but one thats somewhat cheap (less than 1k). What kind of stuff has to be adjusted to make the turbo work properly? approximately how much would it cost with parts and labor? any suggestions and information is greatly appreciated. thanks
ANSWER: (Your best bet is going to require a lot of creativity. Your project is possible on the budget you're looking at, but you won't be able to buy a one-and-done kit. I did this successfully for $350 on my first car when I was 16, and I learned a lot.A used Garrett journal-bearing turbo with acceptable shaft play is a start (I'd suggest finding someone who knows turbochargers to evaluate the condition of a used turbo). The T3 and T25 (a smaller variant of the T3) were used on myriad cars (original Saab 900 and 9000, many Volvos, and other cars from the mid 1980s to late 1990s). I've seen them as cheap as $50 for examples that were good enough to bolt right up. Furthermore, the rectangular ("Garrett") flange is the most common found on aftermarket exhaust manifolds, which raises a new point, the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold and downpipe will likely be the most expensive and/or challenging part to obtain or fabricate. I believe your car has the 5S-FE corporate engine, which was super common (Camrys, Celicas and more had it) meaning you can probably find a cheap exhaust manifold on eBay. You'll also need:A recirculating valve ("blow-off" valve, used Bosch ones from Audi A4/S4/A6 turbo, Porsche 993/996 Turbo are easy to mount and effective, but NOT from Saab or 1980s Porsche). An intercooler. This isn't absolutely necessary, but on a high-compression engine like yours you'll really want it. Look for used ones pulled from a junk Porsche 944 Turbo (excellent), Saab 9000 Turbo (ok), Mitsubishi Starion (excellent) and so on. Try to avoid side- or top-mounted intercoolers, as they tend not to clear the hood on cars not designed for it and offer (generally) inferior performance. Manufacturers mount them on top of the engine for convenience reasons.Hard pipes and rubber couplers for charged-air plumbing. Buy a couple of those polished aluminum intake kits for an Integra on eBay and maybe a few extra bends plus some rubber couplers from TurboHoses.com or equivalent.Vacuum Lines. Replace all of them and get one-way check valves for the HVAC system, fuel evaporation system and crankcase ventilation.Adjustable, rising-rate fuel pressure regulator. You're doing this cheap, so changing injectors and computer programming are above and beyond. The adjustable fuel pressure regulator allows you to increase fuel across the injectors, forcing more fuel through them under boost. Oil and coolant lines for the turbocharger. This is the next-most tricky after the exhaust manifold. You'll need to find a place to tap for pressurized oil (maybe an oil pressure sensor port on the head you could branch off of) and then dump back into oil pan.I would suggest a wideband oxygen sensor, but if you can't afford it, at least replace the factory one with new and place a gauge into it so you can get at least a basic idea of the mixture situation in your engine. You'll have some other issues to address if you have a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor rather than a hot-wire or "barn-door" type sensor for measuring air on your engine. Barn-door and hot-wire types will work fine, but a MAP sensor will likely be unable to register positive pressure at the manifold; it is only intended to read vacuum. You can get MAP sensors that are able to register the positive pressure, but this is something you'll have to research independently ONLY IF you have a MAP sensor. Finally, don't worry about a boost controller. You won't be able to run much more than 7 or 8 pounds of boost at best because you have high compression and will lack sophisticated fuel management, and the wastegate found on most Garrett turbochargers can be adjusted up to this pressure. A boost controller will only tempt you to turn up the boost and destroy your engine, which would happen very quickly. You could also burn up your clutch and blow your transmission if you have an automatic. In fact, if you have an automatic, you shouldn't even consider this project. Also remember, there's a decent chance you could blow your headgasket, especially if you're reckless and impatient while setting up the fuel and boost levels. You could also just sell your car and buy one with a turbo from the factory. Way easier, more reliable and more room for power.)

Where can i find a turbo kit for a 1991 toyota celica?
im looking to find a twin turbo kit for a 1991 toyota celica gts or to do an engine swap but i dont know what will fit im looking for something with more power will like the 240sx turbos fit or no? like how would i know what kind of turbos can fit my car?
ANSWER: (Your cheapest route is going to be to piece together something. I have a 73 240z with a 83 280zx turbo motor and OMFG it is scary fast. its all stock pushing about 10 psi.You need the turbo, 3" piping, hoses and vaccum lines, clamps, intercooler, wastegate, blow off valve, and the biggest and most important is your manifold.)

Is their a turbo kit or turbo manifold for a toyota rav4?
I got a 2006 toyota rav4, I don't know if theirs much performance parts for i, but do they have a turbo manifold or turbo kit for it. Not sure what motor I got But I know It's a V6. It's a fast sport suv and I can get it going 120 mph then it slowly goes up but I want it to go faster, is their any thing else i can add to it besides the turbo kit.
ANSWER: (That car was not built with performance in mind. Installing a turbo kit will cost you at least $5000 and will blow the motor and transmission as they were not built with having a turbocharger in mind.)

How difficult is it to install a turbo kit?
Im looking to put a t3/t4 turbo into my toyota celica. i have found the kit that i want but they all say "professional installation only". I have done all of the rest of the work on my celica and i want to put the turbo in myself too. how hard would it be to do this and how long would it take?
ANSWER: (is it a complete kit that will fit easily is the question. you can probably do the mechanical installation as long as everything goes together right. as far as "complete" - does it include an intercooler? larger injectors? boost controller? you should put on an intercooler if the kit doesnt have one. you also might have to lower the compression ratio by putting a head gasket spacer under the head. you slap a turbo on to a naturally aspirated engine w/ no intercooler and high compression is formula for going into preignition and blowing the engine very soon. i think this is why they say "professional installation only". another thing - the exhaust well be too small and restricted. if you are in a state where you need smog ck to be legal - number 1 you probably will fail the visual inspection - or your cat will burn out and you fail the smog test. in that case you will need a larger cat and have to do a special smog test to be legal.)

what kind of turbo kit can i put on my 87 toyota pickup with a carburetor?
ANSWER: (It is certainly possibe to install a turbo or supercharger on a carbureted vehicle however:-forced induction systems create a large degree of heat/engine stress and considering the age and original strength of your engines internals, likely your engine would fail with even a mild boost installation-therefore you have to enhance the engine (race heads, built out bottom end with forged rods/pistons, etc etc)-there is no ready to install application - so you are looking at purchasing a universal turbo (from garrett or turbonetics), wastegate, intercooler and then have plumbing/piping custom fabricated.the cost of the parts approx $2000, cost of labor approx $3000 and this does not include work to your engine internals, intake system or exhaust.all in i expect you would be in the range of $10,000 plus which makes no economic sense since you could go out and buy that level of performance in an already modified car/truck for less money.)

best and most affordable turbo kits for my car...?
i have a 2009 standard Toyota Corolla, and i want to put in a turbo kit that makes a difference in horsepower, sound as well as keeping it affordable. i need help!
ANSWER: (seems stupid..I doubt you're going to find one for a 09 Corrolla. The only option i know of is to build one for it. You could do it way cheaper than they sell those kits for. Since you're asking this question i doubt you have the means to build one. Anyway see what some performance shops in your town or city would charge you.)
