Can I install 500cc fuel injectors on my 1994 2JZ-GE toyota supra?
I have purchased and installed a turbo conversion kit for my non-turbo supra. I was just wondering if my stock fuel rail would be sufficient for me to install these new injectors on....
ANSWER: (Yep it will be just fine. Did your Turbo Kit come with a Piggyback ECU? if it didn't you might want to think about geting one or an ECU reflash. Because otherwise you won't be taking full advantage of your extra CC's.)

my toyota celica gt with turbo....?
hey i have a toyota celica 2000 gt and as we all know it doesnt have lots of hp around 140 i think. well i wanted to spend around 4g on a turvo kit.. i wanted to know with that on around how many hp would i get in total. thx
ANSWER: (You're asking a question that's little bit too general and broad. It all really depends on what kind of turbo set up you're getting.Of course, bigger turbo, more power, etc.It all matters on your ECU and tune up setting as well. After all, your best bet is to go to online forums for Celica in your generation.Do lots of research, because you're not spending small amount of money.I would say with investment of 4k, you're gonna get around 350whp.)

How much does a turbo kit cost?
I own a 97 toyota celica st and i was wondering how much it would cost to install a turbo. Im not looking for the 2000 dollar ones, but one thats somewhat cheap (less than 1k). What kind of stuff has to be adjusted to make the turbo work properly? approximately how much would it cost with parts and labor? any suggestions and information is greatly appreciated. thanks
ANSWER: (Your best bet is going to require a lot of creativity. Your project is possible on the budget you're looking at, but you won't be able to buy a one-and-done kit. I did this successfully for $350 on my first car when I was 16, and I learned a lot. A used Garrett journal-bearing turbo with acceptable shaft play is a start (I'd suggest finding someone who knows turbochargers to evaluate the condition of a used turbo). The T3 and T25 (a smaller variant of the T3) were used on myriad cars (original Saab 900 and 9000, many Volvos, and other cars from the mid 1980s to late 1990s). I've seen them as cheap as $50 for examples that were good enough to bolt right up. Furthermore, the rectangular ("Garrett") flange is the most common found on aftermarket exhaust manifolds, which raises a new point, the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold and downpipe will likely be the most expensive and/or challenging part to obtain or fabricate. I believe your car has the 5S-FE corporate engine, which was super common (Camrys, Celicas and more had it) meaning you can probably find a cheap exhaust manifold on eBay. You'll also need: A recirculating valve ("blow-off" valve, used Bosch ones from Audi A4/S4/A6 turbo, Porsche 993/996 Turbo are easy to mount and effective, but NOT from Saab or 1980s Porsche). An intercooler. This isn't absolutely necessary, but on a high-compression engine like yours you'll really want it. Look for used ones pulled from a junk Porsche 944 Turbo (excellent), Saab 9000 Turbo (ok), Mitsubishi Starion (excellent) and so on. Try to avoid side- or top-mounted intercoolers, as they tend not to clear the hood on cars not designed for it and offer (generally) inferior performance. Manufacturers mount them on top of the engine for convenience reasons. Hard pipes and rubber couplers for charged-air plumbing. Buy a couple of those polished aluminum intake kits for an Integra on eBay and maybe a few extra bends plus some rubber couplers from TurboHoses.com or equivalent. Vacuum Lines. Replace all of them and get one-way check valves for the HVAC system, fuel evaporation system and crankcase ventilation. Adjustable, rising-rate fuel pressure regulator. You're doing this cheap, so changing injectors and computer programming are above and beyond. The adjustable fuel pressure regulator allows you to increase fuel across the injectors, forcing more fuel through them under boost. Oil and coolant lines for the turbocharger. This is the next-most tricky after the exhaust manifold. You'll need to find a place to tap for pressurized oil (maybe an oil pressure sensor port on the head you could branch off of) and then dump back into oil pan. I would suggest a wideband oxygen sensor, but if you can't afford it, at least replace the factory one with new and place a gauge into it so you can get at least a basic idea of the mixture situation in your engine. You'll have some other issues to address if you have a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor rather than a hot-wire or "barn-door" type sensor for measuring air on your engine. Barn-door and hot-wire types will work fine, but a MAP sensor will likely be unable to register positive pressure at the manifold; it is only intended to read vacuum. You can get MAP sensors that are able to register the positive pressure, but this is something you'll have to research independently ONLY IF you have a MAP sensor. Finally, don't worry about a boost controller. You won't be able to run much more than 7 or 8 pounds of boost at best because you have high compression and will lack sophisticated fuel management, and the wastegate found on most Garrett turbochargers can be adjusted up to this pressure. A boost controller will only tempt you to turn up the boost and destroy your engine, which would happen very quickly. You could also burn up your clutch and blow your transmission if you have an automatic. In fact, if you have an automatic, you shouldn't even consider this project. Also remember, there's a decent chance you could blow your headgasket, especially if you're reckless and impatient while setting up the fuel and boost levels. You could also just sell your car and buy one with a turbo from the factory. Way easier, more reliable and more room for power.)

Supra NA-T for $8k or TT for 12k?
Right now I can buy a MKIV Toyota Supra non-turbo 5spd manual for about $6k landed here in Canada. After owning it I'd use some of my leftover money to buy a T61 turbo kit which roughly would cost $2,500 including installation. This would give me 320rwhp on the stock engine just with this kit and nothing else would need to be done. I can pay like 12k/13k for a landed twin turbo here in Vancouver... and this car is 280bhp. There are just rough estimates. My only concern is the reliability of the single turbo. It's not a big turbo like most supra's but still I would like to know the chances of something going wrong. I know someone whos been running a t72 single turbo for 65,000 KM and he had it done professionaly by a shop. what are you guys thoughts? wait a few months and get the regular TT... or buy a non-turbo now and enjoy it, then get the single turbo kit in a few months? my choice is NA-T... what do you guys think? thanks, and please some quality answers, not looking for clueless guys just posting some BS like they usually saying buy a corvette instead.and don't focuse on the price part, these are just the prices I can get these cars for from a private broker friend of mine... there are JDM spec, not USDM btw.
ANSWER: (First things first, you can't polish a turd. A MKIV Supra is 3700lbs with a 3.0L engine. Turbos or not, they are dogs. With that said, if you are dead set on a Supra, I'd get the turbo car. The Turbo model has a much stronger 6 speed, instead of the weak 5 speed in the non turbo. The turbo car was very well built for turbocharging, while even a small turbo can cause damage to the non turbo engine unless you rebuild it. The TT car also has a stronger rear differential, stiffer suspension, and some other bits. If it were up to me, I'd buy a mustang cobra over a Supra...which in fact I did make that decision 94 TT Supra vs 98 cobra, I bought the Cobra). Then again, living in Canada, I'd buy a WRX. As it is I hate parking my car when it snows (I live in Colorado), so I'd hate to only be able to drive the car I like intermittently.)

Where can i find a turbo kit for a 1991 toyota celica?
im looking to find a twin turbo kit for a 1991 toyota celica gts or to do an engine swap but i dont know what will fit im looking for something with more power will like the 240sx turbos fit or no? like how would i know what kind of turbos can fit my car?
ANSWER: (Your cheapest route is going to be to piece together something. I have a 73 240z with a 83 280zx turbo motor and OMFG it is scary fast. its all stock pushing about 10 psi.You need the turbo, 3" piping, hoses and vaccum lines, clamps, intercooler, wastegate, blow off valve, and the biggest and most important is your manifold.)

Is their a turbo kit or turbo manifold for a toyota rav4?
I got a 2006 toyota rav4, I don't know if theirs much performance parts for i, but do they have a turbo manifold or turbo kit for it. Not sure what motor I got But I know It's a V6. It's a fast sport suv and I can get it going 120 mph then it slowly goes up but I want it to go faster, is their any thing else i can add to it besides the turbo kit.
ANSWER: (That car was not built with performance in mind. Installing a turbo kit will cost you at least $5000 and will blow the motor and transmission as they were not built with having a turbocharger in mind.)

How difficult is it to install a turbo kit?
Im looking to put a t3/t4 turbo into my toyota celica. i have found the kit that i want but they all say "professional installation only". I have done all of the rest of the work on my celica and i want to put the turbo in myself too. how hard would it be to do this and how long would it take?
ANSWER: (is it a complete kit that will fit easily is the question. you can probably do the mechanical installation as long as everything goes together right. as far as "complete" - does it include an intercooler? larger injectors? boost controller? you should put on an intercooler if the kit doesnt have one. you also might have to lower the compression ratio by putting a head gasket spacer under the head. you slap a turbo on to a naturally aspirated engine w/ no intercooler and high compression is formula for going into preignition and blowing the engine very soon. i think this is why they say "professional installation only". another thing - the exhaust well be too small and restricted. if you are in a state where you need smog ck to be legal - number 1 you probably will fail the visual inspection - or your cat will burn out and you fail the smog test. in that case you will need a larger cat and have to do a special smog test to be legal.)

Whats better than a Toyota Supra?
Well they seem to be really fast cars. Most vids on youtube have them all winning. They even beat Ferrari's and Lamborghini's . I'm looking for a car from 1995 - 2009 that doesn't cost over 50,000. I'm in the military, I'm not rich. However I will spend quite a few bucks on a car, and fix it up. I'm open for some suggestions. Just avoid Mitsubishi. Looking for a nice car to put a turbo kit in.

So... I need to respond to that first answer. No, I'm not joking about wanting a turbo for my Rav4. As a matter of fact I found one on ebay, but it only fit a bigger motor. Would this supra build work?
This will be a project, over the next 2 years probably. Heres what I have. : http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss227/surfer4900/supra4.jpg Its all there except the front windshield. Everything was taken out for sanding. Still works... its a 95 NA Supra with a 5 speed. Besides the tranny and ecu, would this swap work? This engine http://www.japanpowerinc.com/engine_details/36/95-97_Toyota_2JZGTTE with this turbo kit http://www.suprastore.com/tosusitukit1.html Than all I would need is a tranny and ecu and it would be a TT. correct? Is all that compatible?
ANSWER: (if your trying to stay original itll be hard but if your a racing guy like me and you enjoy speed get a used vette or chevy engine and drop that in there. you can turbo a used vette engine with leess then fifty thousand for like 3 and be putting out like 6 hundred tot he wheells good luck peace)

what kind of turbo kit can i put on my 87 toyota pickup with a carburetor?
ANSWER: (It is certainly possibe to install a turbo or supercharger on a carbureted vehicle however:-forced induction systems create a large degree of heat/engine stress and considering the age and original strength of your engines internals, likely your engine would fail with even a mild boost installation-therefore you have to enhance the engine (race heads, built out bottom end with forged rods/pistons, etc etc)-there is no ready to install application - so you are looking at purchasing a universal turbo (from garrett or turbonetics), wastegate, intercooler and then have plumbing/piping custom fabricated.the cost of the parts approx $2000, cost of labor approx $3000 and this does not include work to your engine internals, intake system or exhaust.all in i expect you would be in the range of $10,000 plus which makes no economic sense since you could go out and buy that level of performance in an already modified car/truck for less money.)

THE INFAMOUS TOYOTA SUPRA ?
Asking this one for a friend.........if he were to buy a supra (used obviously) and wanted to upgrade it......are most supra parts still easy to get a hold of or have they all fallen off the face of the earth???????? ..... this includes body kits, headers, intakes, turbo's......... the works!!!!!
ANSWER: (Of course. U can find parts for the supra everywhere. It a very popular tuner car and the car has many sponsored companies that make parts for the vehicle. But remember, it aint cheap. A good supesnion upgrade could run u over 1k easy. And also performance upgrade are very expensive. If u got the money go ahead, but if u dont and u do want a project tuner i would consider an older supra or celica. Or look at nissans like the 240sx and also honda's.)

best and most affordable turbo kits for my car...?
i have a 2009 standard Toyota Corolla, and i want to put in a turbo kit that makes a difference in horsepower, sound as well as keeping it affordable. i need help!
ANSWER: (seems stupid..I doubt you're going to find one for a 09 Corrolla. The only option i know of is to build one for it. You could do it way cheaper than they sell those kits for. Since you're asking this question i doubt you have the means to build one. Anyway see what some performance shops in your town or city would charge you.)

Is it okay to buy a salvage Car ?!?
I am looking to buy a Toyota Spyder MR2 - Made 2000 from my friend. The title of this car is salvage because it had a crash from passenger front side and he changed every part of that area. He also empowered the engine with the Toyota turbo engine Kit which was made for this model, Car's Body & Engine seem healthy and clean and He is offering me a good price around 6,000, with 100,000 miles on it.I am just worried about the salvage title and I dont know to buy it or not ?Does it make me trouble for selling it in future !?
ANSWER: (The biggest disadvantages to buying a car with a salvaged title are: 1) Does not meet US safety requirements2) More likely to have mechanical problems3) May not be able to insure (check this before you buy)4) You will have a really tough time selling it. $6,000 is not a good price for that car if it is salvaged. With a clean title, private party, you should be paying about $7500 in good to excellent condition. I would never recommend a salvaged vehicle, but if you choose not to listen to me, don't pay over $3750 and make sure you can get in insured before signing anything.)

turbocharged toyota minivan?
Okay, I know it's ridiculous, but bear with me: I want to put a turbocharger on my toyota sienna, most recent generation, v6 268 hp. I've already made it into a total ricer just for laughs (hood scoop, body kit, high rear top mounted spoiler, aftermarket exhaust, 24 inch rims) but now i want it to have just a bit of cred. Does anyone know where I can get a toyota camry twin turbo set, where money is not an issue, excluding custom jobs. I'm looking for the most performance I can pump out of this baby. The engine is the same as the toyota camry's v6. I'm look ing for an end result somewhere near 400 hp, higher if possible. any suggestions will be appreciated, even other stuff for improving the car's performance or ricer factor. My dream is to be able to take this out into LA and actually be able to beat some of the street racer's out there. I've already got a group in mind, that seems to be for the most part ricers, with few realy tuners. It'll be funny when they cry after beign beaten by a minivan.thanks ladybug, and not to be a bigot, but i think its totally cool that youre a cool and are totally down with cars. I wish my girlfriend was like that. Well, the reason I only have cosmetic applications as of now is that it wasn't initially my idea to actually give it any performance, but thinking of it, the car is actually already pretty bad at corners (yes, i have raced it before and yes, i did almost die) so I am thinking about doing some braking and suspension changes now, as well as some weight distribution to make it less topheavy, though perhaps pushing down some of those horses. Actually, my cosmetic applications aren't normal walmart fare, the spoiler and the body kit actually does a pretty good job as underbody spoilers, improving my handling somewhat noticeably, which is fitting given that i spent in a few grand on them. for the record, those of you wondering, yes i am a spoiled rich kid, which is why i can afford to be doing this retarded to stuff to a minivan.the exhaust also probably gives it a few more horses at the cost of some of that torque, although i've never actually measured. also i'm asian, which i think kind of adds to the irony of me going out to beat ricers from what i remember, the sienna has a fairly similar engine bay to the camry's though I can double check when i get back home. Getting a hold of some old supra turbos shouldn't be too hard, even if it might be a bit pricy thats not too much of an issue. The whole custom piping thing seems like kind of a pain in the ass to me. it's not so much the price as it is the amount of work that seems that it would invovle on my part with like consulting and whatnot. are you sure thats necessary?
ANSWER: (I like the concept, not even sleeper, just straight up showin them up. Anyways, I believe people have used the turbo off of hte 7mgte supra motor, but as with most projects like this, piping such as downpipe and intercooler piping will have to be custom fabricated. I don't know how similar the sienna's engine bay design is to a camrys so I can't guarantee perfect fitment. hope this helped.)

Is it possibe to turbocharge and supercharge a car???
my mate from work has got a highly modified toyota hilux He said that he had just finished putting in a turbo kit but it was already supercharged is this possible??
ANSWER: (Yes it is possible and it's not a waste of time. Lots of semis use twin turbochargers in series, not parallel like most aftermarket kits. Rotrex superchargers has a project Audi TT with a supercharger coming after the turbocharger and it can make up to 650hp (with upgraded internals). Lots of Mini Coopers use a turbo on top of the supercharger because of the size of the engine. Horsepower figures of 300 are possible on that little engine. But the short answer is yes, it can be done. All you're doing is forcing more air into the engine. Some companies make twin turbochargers in order to increase boost and make more power.)

ANSWER: (>>> It is for a Scion but im 100% sure it will fit my Camry' engine Don't be so sure. There's a very little room under the hood for strange after market pipes. Even if the 2 cars had the same engine, there are lots of other accessories that does NOT fit in the same place. Good Luck... P.S. The point of a KIT is that it does NOT need anything else.)
